Very good book store. Located in Coronel Diaz between Charcas and Guemes. Here you'll find a good selection of books and good sales.

 

Located near downtown, more precisely on Viamonte street (half way from the morgue), this book store offers some unusual sales.

To my knowledge, this is the best  book store in Argentina, as regards English books. It has three branches: headquarters are in downtown (M.T. de Alvear and Talcahuano), in Belgrano and the North of the province. Great variety of English materials. 

If you want to practice your idioms, THIS is the place. Lots of idioms divided by topic AND alphabetically.

Noticias en ingles especial (Special English) esta diseñado especialmente para personas que estan aprendiendo y desean practicar ingles americano. VOA Special English se produce usando un vocabulario de 1500 palabras y una pronunciacion mas clara. La transmision inicia con 10 minutos de noticias nacionales e internacionales, seguidos de un pequeño reporte sobre ciencia, agricultura, desarrollo, medio ambiente y/o modismos del idioma. Los ultimos 15 minutos se dedican a la cultura, historia, americanos notables, etc.

This is an excellent site to practise your listening comprehension. It's divided in four levels (easy, medium, difficult and very difficult), so ANYONE can practise. You'll find exercises with every listening. Try it!
